The City of Nawabs, Bahawalpur

Noor Mahal or Noor Palace is a hundred and fifty-year-old palace in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. This palace is a landmark in history, shows the love of Nawab Subah Sadiq Muhammad khan IV for his wife when he laid the foundation of this beautiful palace. This palace was built to be the residence of Subah Sadiq and his family but, because of the Basti Maluk Shah graveyard, his spouse refused to stay there and stayed only one night. This building was later used as the guest house of the State or for the meetings.

It is a building that spans an area of 44,600 square metres and is like an Italian chateau neoclassical villa. There are 32 rooms in the double story building, 14 of them are in basement. There are also 6 verandas and 5 domes.

Mohenjo Daro is another lovely but one of Pakistan’s historic sites. This site was founded in 1921 and has the same nature as Harappa. This is famous for the Indus Valley. The old Mohenjo Daro houses consist of mud and burnt bricks, which created this town of architectural style.

The 10.8 cm dancing girl from the house in 1926 is the fascinating reality about Mohenjo Daro. It was the most well-known historian-archaeologist Mortimer Wheeler’s sculpture.

Wheeler said, “There is her little Baluchi-style face with pouting lips and insolent look in the eye. She’s about fifteen years old I should think, not more, but she stands there with bangles all the way up her arm and nothing else on. A girl perfectly, for the moment, perfectly confident of herself and the world. There’s nothing like her, I think, in the world.”

Rohtas Fort

Rohtas Fort in Jhelum is another classic that portrays the true traditions and cultural heritage. This fort was constructed in the 16th century by King Farid Khan of Afghanistan, also recognized as Sher Sha Suri. The building was built in 8 years, accompanied by historical and architectural style. You will be happy to see the big walls with giant doors, following the Afghan-Persian style.

The City of Khyber Pass Peshawar

In Pakistan, there are many other places, such as Peshawar is one of Pakistan’s most famous cities. It is at the entrance of the Khyber Pass and the primary city to the northwest. Peshawar has Pathan tribes and they all are Muslims. On the West and East ends of the city, Balahisar Forts offers access and you can travel on the Khyber Pass mountain routes.  This town is well-known for its bases, universities and schools.
